So I had a heavy reminder that life is too fucking short the other day. i was on my way to Jacksonville to perform and a piece of metal fell off of a truck flew up and hit my car. it smashed the window and did some other damage to the car, and when i got to Jax i was rippin pissed. Brand new car and all that. Bud was there, and reminded me that everything happens as part of a pattern. A rhythm, words that i have spoken time and time again. he reminded me that i could be dead. i was so lucky, my life was spared by a little over an inch. he reminded me that it was a good day, and a good thing to be there. then we went and he intrakit and i rocked the crowd relentlessly. the show was hot..... So here i am, alive and well, and still tripping off how a few words well placed can change your whole outlook on a situation. Thanks Bud, this shit sounds Cleche, but i will never forget those words, simple, quietly spoken, and just what i needed to hear.
